About this project

The purpose of this study is to explore the outcomes children experience after participating in a summer camp program. In order to study this issue in-depth, we will be conducting a three phase study focusing on different groups involved in the camp experience: camp directors, current campers and camper alumni. Specifically, the objectives of this project are to:

Explore camp professionals’ experiences regarding camper outcomes;
Understand the changes in behaviour and/or attitude experienced by campers immediately after participating in a camp program;
Determine to what extent the outcomes of camp participation are noted by former campers later in life.
